  1. Winvelope(tm) v4.2
  2.  
  3. Winvelope v4.2 requires VBRUN200.DLL be installed in the
  4. \Windows\System\ subdirectory.  This file is not included 
  5. with the 'download' version in order to conserve disk space.  
  6. VBRUN200.DLL is available from the Winvelope Support BBS as
  7. well as most other online services such as Compuserve, Genie, 
  8. America Online, etc.  
  9.  
  10. Winvelope v4.2 is designed to run in Windows 3.1.  It can
  11. also be used with Windows 3.0, but requires the COMMDLG.DLL
  12. file included with Windows 3.1.  If you plan to use Winvelope
  13. with Windows 3.0 and have not already obtained COMMDLG.DLL,
  14. contact the author or download from the Winvelope Support BBS.

  16. To install:

  18. Create a subdirectory on your harddisk for Winvelope.  Copy 
  19. the following files to the new subdirectory:

  23.     PSETUP.DLL

  25.     CAT_6x9.ENV
  26.     EXECUTIV.ENV

  30.     MESSAGE.LST
  31.     DESKJ500.TXT
  32.     DESKJ550.TXT
  33.     DOTMATRX.TXT
  34.     README.TXT
  35.     WV42DOC.WRI

  37. Copy the following files to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ 
  38. subdirectory:

  40.     VBRUN200.DLL
  41.     CMDIALOG.VBX
  42.     THREED.VBX
  43.  
  44. IMPORTANT!!!
  45. REMOVE FROM YOUR \WINDOWS\ OR \WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ ANY 
  46. CMDIALOG.VBX OR THREED.VBX FILE DATED PRIOR TO 10/21/92.
  47. OLDER VERSIONS OF THESE FILES WILL CAUSE WINVELOPE TO
  48. MALFUNCTION WITH "INVALID FILE FORMAT" MESSAGE.

  50. Install Winvelope in Windows Program Manager making sure
  51. to enter Winvelope's subdirectory as the 
  52. 'Working Directory'.
  53.  
  54. After starting Winvelope, you can access the On-Screen
  55. Help System for detailed information on setting-up and
  56. running the program.

  58. NOTICE

  60. Winvelope is not public domain or free software.  If you 
  61. paid a shareware distributor for this program, you paid for 
  62. the service of coping and distributing to you an evaluation 
  63. disk and not for the program itself.  You may evaluate 
  64. Winvelope for a maximum of 30 days without charge, however 
  65. if you find the program useful and continue to use it 
  66. beyon the 30 day evaluation period, you must send a 
  67. registration payment to the author.  Registered users get 
  68. the latest version of the software, notice of upgrades, and 
  69. continued product support.
